Depending on the enquiry, you may or may not manage someone else’s account. For some things, we’ll actually need to speak to the account holder. We understand there may be times when that’s not possible so check the info below to find out how to go about this.

If you’ve got a Power of Attorney
A Power of Attorney is a formal legal document authorising a person to act for another. If you’ve been granted Power of Attorney to act for a Kogan Mobile customer, we’ll need to see it and record it on their account before we can grant you access.
To do this, either:
Fax it to: 1300 308 869 (Attention: Logistics – POA Admin)
Mail it to:
Logistics Team
PO Box 2580 KDC
Kingston TAS 7050
Make sure you include a copy of your driver's licence or passport for verification.
There's a few things the Power of Attorney document will need to include so make sure they’re covered off before sending it through:
General Power of Attorney
The date the power was given
The Donor’s (account holder’s) name and address
The Attorney’s (your) name and address
What the attorney is allowed to do
Signature of the Donor
Signature of Attorney
The term for the Power of Attorney or reference to a completion or end of an event
Enduring Power of Attorney
The date the power was given
The Donor’s (account holder’s) name and address
The Attorney’s (your) name and address
Signature of the Donor
Signature of Attorney
Signature of one or two witnesses (requirements will differ from state to state)
A statement that the Donor wants the Power of Attorney to continue after they've lost mental capacity
If the account holder has passed away
If your partner or a family member has passed away, you have the option to transfer their service into your name or cancel it. Some info that’ll help us assist you when you call includes the account holder’s mobile or account number, their full name, date of birth, address, their date of death and their death certificate registration number.
If the account holder is in jail
While you’d need a Power of Attorney if you want to cancel their service, or authorise a transfer of their number into someone else’s name, the account holder can contact us in writing if calling isn’t an option. They’ll need to include their account PIN with any correspondence they send.
If the account holder is hearing impaired
They can use the Australian government’s National Relay Service to make major changes to their account.
They can also contact us in writing. They’ll need to include their account PIN with any correspondence they send.
